Evergreen Families!
The Evergreen Athletic Association 2019 Spring Baseball Registration is now open! EAA proudly serves families within the Evergreen Elementary School district as well as those districts with no CBC affiliation!
Important Rule Changes
It's also important to note that these rule changes are being adopted by all National and local recreational leagues. This is not something specific to CBC or EAA.
Do not buy new bats without reading this first!!
Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented for players t-ball through bronco. Baseball bats that were approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Pony/CBC or Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018. For more information on the USABat standard and a complete list of bats approved through the USA Bat Standard, visit http://www.usabat.com.
Additionally, the diameter of the bat barrel cannot be greater than 2 5/8".
2 1/4" and 2 5/8" bats are okay.
2 3/4" bats are NOT okay.
ALL BATS (T-BALL THROUGH BRONCO) MUST HAVE THE USA BASEBALL STICKER BELOW:

Registration
Registration is now open. You will be able to register and pay on-line. In addition to registering on-line, you will need to complete the 2019 paperwork and bring it to one of our walk-up registration days. If your player is new to EAA, we will also need a copy of his/her birth certificate.
2019 Registration fees: (price includes: jersey, pants, hat, & belt)
- Standard Registration fee - $160
- Late registration (after 3/5)- $175
Coaches
We are a parent-run organization and volunteers are vital! Please let me know if you are interested in serving as head or assistant coach! All new coaches need to complete a national background check through the Chesterfield County Police Department. Please see the County's website for dates, times and location for processing. County-issued cards are valid for three years from the date of issue and have the expiration date printed on them.
Evaluations and Teams:
-
We will be hosting an evaluation for all levels, please make sure you are able to attend once the dates are published.
-
All age groups have an instructional level as well as more advanced level. During evaluation the coaches will decide where the player fits best. This is not only for safety but we want your player to enjoy the game!
-
Teams will be selected based on individual evaluations of each player by the coaches with assistance from the director. Other factors will also be considered in consultation with coaches and parents, including keeping pre-existing teams together as much as possible.

Fall Baseball
Each year, CBC sponsors play for a Fall baseball league for players ages 6 through 15. All games are played on Saturdays, generally beginning the second Saturday in September, running for six consecutive weeks. Ages 6 through 8 play just one game per Saturday, while ages 9 through 15 play two consecutive games. Sunday afternoons are used for rainouts. Fields are made available for practice Monday through Friday.
